Lakin Maddox has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Her client population consists of children ages 5 and up and adult females. She received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from University of the Ozarks in 2014. She then graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2018 with a Masters in Education in School Counseling and Leadership. She also completed additional post-graduate courses at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Lakin has completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). With her younger clients she implements Play Therapy techniques. She also provides Christian Counseling. Lakin uses an Eclectic Therapy approach that blends many different elements to create a tailored treatment for each client. Instead of focusing solely on one method, eclectic therapists use a range of techniques in order to create an ideal and personalized approach. The approach varies depending on the client, and often uses many different methods to deal with one situation.

In addition to providing therapy services, Lakin enjoys spending time with her husband and two girls and serving the local church and community in various volunteer ministry roles.
